We’ve built strategies, launched campaigns, written policies, edited films, shaped brands, designed platforms, designed the decks that funded them, prototyped services, and coded tools to keep customer journey looping.
We build what’s needed — in the format that works.
[W74] Tungsten is a minimalist studio built by Cromwell, Fredriksson & Lyberg as a shared structure for our work and long-standing networks.
We’re based in Malmö, Stockholm, and sometimes Paris. (Because Per is a romantic.)
We do strategy, technology, communication. The kind that moves things forward.
We consult—sometimes embedded, sometimes at a distance, sometimes as co-pilots. We focus on clarity, structure, and long-term results. If it’s just fluff, we’re not interested. Unless it’s fun. Fun goes a long way as currency.
We have a broad network: architects, developers, designers, artists, technologists, writers, analysts. They’re not us.
They’re lovely, talented and depenadble people we’ve worked with, learned from, and absolutely trust when it matters.
Most projects benefit from that network. Sometimes for specialist skills, sometimes just to get things across the line. But mainly because nobody knows everything, and we don’t pretend we do.
Most of what we do is non-public by nature — long projects, quiet turnarounds, background work. We prefer it that way: selected, discreet, context-specific.
No chest pounding. No LinkedIn posts. No “solutions,” “synergy,” or “empowering.” Not for us.
We do the work. Others get the credit. We’re good with that.

Back in the olden days—the second era of Swedish glam, during the reign of King Gustav III, our very own let-them-eat-cake monarch—there were people quietly getting the job done in the background.
Chemists, writers, miners, and other unsung consultants, busy doing the actual heavy lifting, while someone else took the spotlight (and probably the cake).

We never saw attack ships on fire—
off the shoulder of Orion.
Neither did we watch C-beams glitter—
in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
But there were industrial giants,
cultural institutions,
Nordic cities, public broadcasters,
R&D labs, transport authorities,
architects, mobility startups,
governments, universities, foundations,
think tanks, banks, publishers,
manufacturers, infrastructure providers—
and, yes, more than one international music competition.
Some public tenders were won. No nepotism.
and we have been scrutinized by national security.
Some of us even passed.
Sometimes a sharp corner. Sometimes a trick up a sleeve.
But more importantly, we did cry—same as you—
when Roy Batty gave his final words, high above the city.
Replicant or consultant—
all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
